The Consulate General of India in Medan organized ITEC Day on December 13, 2024 at the Grand City Hall Hotel in Medan. This special event brought together alumni who have pursued their education in India through various Government of India schemes, including the Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation (ITEC), Mr. Ravi Shanker Goel, Consul General of India in Medan, delivered insightful remarks highlighting the significance of the ITEC and ICCR programs. He highlighted that the Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Day 2024 is an occasion to connect with scholars who got training in India. He explained that ITEC, a flagship program of the Ministry of External Affairs, helps individuals from friendly countries enhance their skills.
Consul General, Mr. Ravi Shanker Goel, also noted that the program offers participants a chance to experience Indian culture while getting training in India. Consulate provided 55 ITEC scholarships to Government of North Sumatra and officials were trained in India in three batches. Mrs Lies Handayani Siregar, Assistant for General Administration of the North Sumatera Provincial Government in her speech thanked the Consulate for providing these scholarships which helped in capacity building of North Sumatra government officials.#75thindiaindonesia
